Friends,
over the weekend in a small used record store in Holland I found one of the ultra-rare Mercury CDs: "From St. Louis to Frisco".
If you do not know about these rare CDs, read about it on my site:
http://www.crlf.de/ChuckBerry/mercury.html
In short: These Mercury CDs are re-issues of Chuck's Mercury albums. But in addition they contain unreleased tracks from the Mercury archives. The CDs did not tell about these bonus tracks. They were produced in very small quantity and were sold for a short time in 1989 only.
The one I have to offer contains all of the "From St. Louis to Frisco" vinyl album plus
Laugh and Cry, the B side of Berry's first Mercury single, never on an album, never on another CD
the unreleased Campus Cookie
a Mercury recording of Almost Grown, never released anywhere else
and an early unreleased recording of The Song of My Love, which in my opinion is the best Chuck/Ingrid duet ever recorded.
I will sell the CD on ebay within the next few weeks, but I wanted to first allow my friends here to get it if wanted. So if you do not have this CD, send me a private email with your proposed price.
Dietmar
