Well it all started in about 1972 really with my grandmother turning the radio off when My Dingaling was on, she said it was rude and me as a 6 year old loved it!
However 36 years past and i never really listened to Chuck's music again, except occasionally on the radio and i remember watching a live show on TV in the 70/80's and enjoying it!
Then last week i heard on the radio in my truck that Chuck was on in Maryport on the coming Friday. My mind was made up, i knew most of his songs and knew he was a legend in the rock and roll business, i made my mind up, im going. Best decision i have ever made, the show was excellent, im amazed that an 81 year old man could still put on such a show. There were about 8 of us went to Maryport and many of them much younger than me, they all thought the same, brilliant!
I have ordered 2 DVD's and bought some of Chuck's CD's this week and also booked a flight to Amsterdam to see him again in November.
Chuck, you have some new fans in Cumbria, UK. What the hell have we been missing all these years?
